Illustrated Sign for The Silk Road Spice Merchant

Have you been to the new Calgary Farmers’ Market that opened in NW Calgary on Friday? I designed and illustrated the sign hanging above The Silk Road Spice Merchant’s booth. 

Here’s some process shots from when I was working on the image. I made the ink drawing and the tea-stained background separately and then assembled them digitally. I thought that would make it easier to fix any unfortunate ink blobs.
