Sketchbook Tuesday: Bride of Frank Study

I forgot to post this little study I did in my sketchbook for my Bride of Frankenstein portrait (here and here). I was just trying to work out the colour palette and kinds of materials I wanted to use in the final. I don't always do studies beforehand, but I find it helpful to do them if there's room in the timeline.
