my name is dario hudon-verrelli. i am a canadian currently residing in edinburgh, uk where i compose, play and record all of OHO in a luggage-sized, self contained studio.

this project is derived from an incessant need to write alone and without chatter. the goal of One Hundred Owls is to hash out whatever may come, accept all mistakes and revert back to the greco-roman ideology of divine spirits leading the artist like vessels, effectively removing the ego.

this ideology was brought into context through elizabeth gilbert's: a different way to think about creative genius, during last years TEDTalk series.

gilbert muses on the impossible things we expect from artists and geniuses -- and shares the radical idea that, instead of the rare person "being" a genius, all of us "have" a genius.

with this in mind, the project has no genre definition nor is it running to find one.

this is my daemon and i love it.

TED: Ideas worth spreading

Ted's modo is this, 'Inspired talks by the world's leading thinkers and doers'.

Every year, Ted hosts a forum of speakers, the brightest in their field, from artists to geologists, scientist, mathematicians and sociologist, you name it. The people who both create and solve the worlds problems, speak.

What TED does is provide the stage and film the talks, you get to watch them for free. It's one of the single greatest ways to broaden your horizon on subject matter you may not have otherwise found interesting.

A lot of these bring new direction to their field, such as the one that inspired me to conceptualize OHO in a different light.
