Paris

051910 | 00:49 GMT

Arrived, settled and finally making music in Paris! Can't complain, even with a cheap classical whose action reaches for the sky by the 12th fret. I am content.

Final tracks to 'Sycophantic.. ep' aren't finalized yet due to my being without an interface by which to complete them. My bad truly, being that I procrastinated to no end when I had the opportunity. I'll remedy this soon, cubs honor.

In the meantime, I'm going to continue to drink €1.06 bottles of red and listen to the accordion players try to winge pocket change from the tourists next to my building.

An 0h0 Podcast

032210 | 14:34 GMT

As I get ready to traverse the channel and take up residence on continental Europe, I've been thinking of a way to share my experiences with a wider audience without getting too personal. I've decided upon a weekly podcast that will cover local music of the region I'm in, a brief history, some unique tidbit facts and links links links to said bands.

I like the idea for a variety of reasons but mostly because it gets me out there under the guise of journalism.. hoho. Mind you I still need a name, so if you have any ideas.. send them my way: info[at]onehundredowls[dot]com

You'll notice a new tab to the right of the menu.. yup, the podcast tab. The page is nice and naked, but existent.

The first episode will be up within the week.

The 0h0 podcast is my attempt at introducing you to the music and niche uniqueness that my travels have me come across.

The bands you will hear and links you will find will be unique to my current locale (most of the time). Therefor, if I'm in Berlin, you'll be subjected to Berlin bands.. at most, a suburb or two away from its center of gravity. [exceptions will occur]

Apart from bands, I'd like to introduce you to local gems, alternatives and oddities.

In this way I hope to expose a more realistic approach to bands abroad. Enjoy.

Paris bound.. farewell Edinburgh

031810 | 10:00 GMT

Dear Edinburgh has been my home for the past 8 months, I've seen many of its nooks and crannies that lay about, I've found myself more in awe of its history than as an outlet for inspiration and as such didn't get as much work done as I had hoped. Still I got 3 tracks out for OHO and joined a Scottish Prog band who will be releasing their ep in the coming weeks.

I'm hoping that Paris doesn't distract me as much but I'm not counting on it, instead I would like to think she will inspire and pushes my Daemon into new and imaginative directions. Without any of the toys I brought with me to Edinburgh save my midi nanokey and 'putter, even I'm curious the direction i may find myself in.

Anyhow, here's to Paris, new beginnings and a music scene that should have me crying with joy and beating myself for the envy it instills.

OHO's mindless twatting!
